I came across Body Stress Release in my 30’s when I was experiencing stress and discomfort, resulting from the operation I had as a 15-year-old teenager. I could not believe how I felt when I got off the Body Stress Release bed. I thought to myself ‘so this is how it feels to feel normal and balanced!’ Each person experiences BSR differently according to where their stress lies and for how long they have had it. Arriving at permanent relief can take longer, but the profound effect of the release was immediately apparent for me.
I was sold on Body Stress Release and after some time I decided to study it. I qualified in 2010 from the Body Stress Release Academy in Rondevlei in the Garden Route, and moved immediately to the beautiful town of Hermanus to start up my first practice.
In January 2022 I settled into my new practice room next to C-Beyond Health in the Hemel en Aarde Village. I enjoy the peaceful atmosphere here, and love the delightful garden courtyard with the sounds of the birds outside my door.
Alongside BSR, I still manage to include art in my life as I periodically facilitate one-off process art workshops for adults, and facilitate therapeutic art sessions for children and adults with special needs at Camphill School and Farm. My other great love is nature and all that is natural. This is one of the reasons I love Body Stress Release!
I love hiking in the mountains, swimming in rivers and walking along the cliff paths. Pottering in my vegetable garden and tending to my fruit trees also gives me much pleasure!
My philosophy
A primary desire of mine is knowing that I am making a difference in the lives of others by facilitating or ‘midwifing’ healing processes.
Through Body Stress Release, with its ability to assist the body to tap into its own healing wisdom, I know I am. I have realised how much I have learnt and grown from working with my own back challenges, and those of others through the years, and feel honoured to be able to share this wisdom and knowledge with others.
